I’m particularly interested in sustainable transit development, migration, citizenship and border control, the fortunes of local culture in the face of globalization, the psychology of landmarks, the conception and use of places as prisons, and the shaping of perceived geography through the media. I like beech trees, running through boulder fields and jungles, Andrei Tarkovsky and Derek Jarman, Borges, Moby Dick, and Remedios Varo. I’ve never sat behind the steering wheel of a car, but you should see the mileage on my boots.
